As a Staff Content Designer at Google as well as running my own agency, my experience has spanned the content continuum, from product, mobile and website design to interface copy, editorial strategy, content marketing, copywriting, process design and operations. I’ve led structured discovery, in-depth audits, heuristics reviews, content workshops and user research. I’ve designed content offerings for multiple products, led content strategy, and directed solution development.

We’ve made great strides in recognizing the need for inclusion, the power of diversity and the strengths of a neurodiverse workforce. Digital products, however, often fail to live up to these ideals. I’ve worked to ensure that inclusivity is at the heart of every design effort.

Underlying every well-designed digital experience is a system of information that ensures that the right content is delivered in a timely fashion. I’ve developed taxonomies, content models and IA to drive site development and optimize content management. My favorite projects use the tools of information design to develop thoughtful, consistent, systems-level solutions. 

Early stage product development done for my own ventures as well as client and products at Google and LEO Pharma. Iterative development and design have been key and identifying real success KPIs (not vanity!) and OKRs to track development once the product hits the market have been a key exercise.

Persona development iterated with storyboarding, anchored in good research design has been a key foundation for successful insights. I used both quantitative and qualitative methods before and during product iterations. For more on the types of methods I use please see my CV.

Translating Research insights into wireframes, and UI can often be difficult, but this is a track I have had to travel down often with clients to visualize solutions. I also find this so rewarding to “REAL”ize solutions. You can see examples of my designs in my portfolio.
